We offer FREE Pick up services between Puerto de Mogan and San Augustin. Normal Pickup time is between 8.30am and 9.00am. Bring back will be possible between 4.30pm and 5.00pm depends on our workload with diving.
By the law of Spain we are not allowed to do Pickups from the Airport. Just Transport that directly belongs to our Business (like Pickups from Hotel to the Divecenter)
We can provide contact data of local hotels and appartment providers or book accommodation for you, appartments are available near the beach, also with sea view, and near to our center.
Several hotels are available In Puerto de Mogan, and a number of apartment providers offer accommodation, also at the sea front and near to our center.
Prices depend on season and type of accommodation, in hotels starting with € 80 per night and in holiday apartments from € 60 per night per apartment.
Hotels in the area and in Puerto de Mogán aremostly 5* and 4* and we are not aware of any problems; apartments are mainly offered by local providers or agencies. We have good experiences and are not aware of any problems with several apartments near our center and at the seafront.
Unless you are a diving professional we recommend not to bring your own camera to the water due to a risk of detraction, we have a GoPro which our guides use to make photos of your dive tour and which you can acquire.
We prefer to be the ones that use the cameras doing all the photos that you need so that you can enjoy the immersion and be depicted in photos.
Yes, you can get photos and videos made during the dive via we transfer.
Yes, we offer many types of PADI specialty courses, including underwater photography, and our PADI underwater photography instructor is available to train you to the level you want; there are several levels from basic to advanced teaching how to use a reflex camera in manual mode, also with flash, and how to edit images on a computer.
Yes, we do night dives, although sometimes subject to weather conditions.

The minimum age for diving is 8 years and for children we offer the PADI Bubblemaker course to discover scuba diving to a depth of up to 2 meters, a program with specific facilities for them.
The maximum depth depends on the diver’s certification. For the experience of deeper dives we offer the PADI speciality course Deep Diving.
Yes, we are Nitrox instructors and can teach Nitrox courses, and if you are already a Nitrox diver and want to dive with Nitrox, however, you need to let us know 3 days in advance, so that we can have tanks ready for you.

When diving not too far away from the harbour we normally return to the harbour between dives and change tanks there and have a snack on land, however, when we are further away, eg. at Pasito Blanco, we do all this on the boat, although if you are prone to seasickness you may be snorkeling near the boat while we do the break.
Yes, as long as we have space on the boat, family or friends may accompany you during your diving, this carries a supplement per person, as shown in our price list.
Canary Islands is an area with a mix of Caribbean and Mediterranean species, such as parrotfish, rays, turtles, barracudas, bogas, roncadores, and some species are endemic in the Canary Islands,e.g. the angel shark.
For diving it is not absolutely necessary to know how to swim since you move with fins, however, since diving is an aquatic activity more training in this environment is an advantage.
Our boat is a 7.5 RIB with a 200 HP Suzuki motor and stairs.
The boat capacity is 12 persons, i.e. with one captain and 1 guide the remaining capacity is 10 divers.
Yes, you can most of the time book a divemaster or instructor ata cost of 25 € per dive, except during a few peak days when our workload is too high.
We offer dives in different parts of the island, also in the North, subject to weather conditions and when we have at least four divers booked, preferably one week in advance.
We currently visit regularly arround 20 dive sites in the South of the island, but are flexible depending on the number of divers interested in further dive sites.
Gran Canaria Divers is located in Playa de Mogan, a place recognized as the town with most days of sunshine per year in Europe, our center is just 50 meters from Mogán beach, with convenient access to two different coast entry points for diving and snorkeling, one is the beach and the other stairs at the outer side of a breakwater to reach directly our house reef.
We are open from Monday – Saturday 09:00 till 17:00. Sunday is our day off. Over the phone you can reach us anytime (well, any reasonable time). Sometimes, when night dives are scheduled, we are open longer in the evening.
All our staff speaks English, Spanish, and several speak also as mothertongue German, Polish and/or French and/or Italian.
The center has a shop, a teaching room, a workshop with our compressor, storage of all diving equipment, space for changing into the wetsuits etc., hot showers and toilets and we also offer free Coffee, Tee and Water

We recomend to make reservations in advance or at least one day before, so that we can better organize activities and offer a better service, however, we are also flexible at short notice but can not always ensure that places are available.
Yes, we also work with groups, and if needed managing accommodation and transport.
We offer snorkeling from the coast or from the boat in areas of limited depth. From the coast you can enter the sea very near to our center either from Mogán beach or using stairs at the outside of the breakwater wall southeast of Mogán beach, with interesting fauna and flora on the sea bed. On boat trips you can both enjoy views of Puerto de Mogán and the surrounding mountains, and once reaching the snorkel area the life at the rocks and natural reefs outside Mogán harbour, sometimes we can see rays.
There is no minimum age for snorkeling, the requirement being you know how to swim, so it depends on this abilitiy of children. The tour from the coast is more accessible and more comfortable for children.
All kinds of tropical fish, trumpet fish, parrotfish, different types of rays, also Mediterranean species such as fulas, barracudas, spits, bogas and many more, we also have our emblematic species, the angel shark, only found on our coasts.

Two hyperbaric chambers are in Arrecife (Lanzarote) and in La Laguna (Tenerife), since 2018 a hyperbaric chamber is installed in Gran Canaria.
Due to our position in the South of Gran Canaria, protected from the dominant northeastern winds of Gran Canaria, practically the whole year is optimal for diving in Mogán, only some few days in December and January may be with some wind and waves.
Sea temperatures range from 24 degrees in summer to 19 degrees in the coldest month, with these temperatures you can enjoy dives with our neoprene suits of 5-7 mm.
The average visibility is more than 15 meters, although we have several months to years that we can enjoy 30 and 40 meters of visibility where the landscapes of the seabed are left uncovered.
There is no need to cancel boat dives, only shore dives from some exposed places in the East and North may be impossible during some 4-5 days per year due do groundswell.

General Conditions
This cancellation policy applies to all services provided by Gran Canaria Divers. This includes, but is not limited to, scuba diving, Discover Scuba Diving, snorkeling, free diving, and all PADI courses, including PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, as well as all other PADI courses offered.
Cancellation Timeframes and Fees
Courses
Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the scheduled start date are eligible for a refund, with a 10% administration fee deducted from the total amount paid. Any e-learning materials already purchased are non-refundable.
Cancellations made within 14 days or less before the scheduled start date are non-refundable.
This policy is due to the advance allocation of instructors, equipment, and other resources reserved specifically for the booking. The policy applies to both partial and full cancellations.
Discover Scuba Diving
Cancellations made more than 72 hours prior to the scheduled activity are eligible for a refund, with a 10% administration fee deducted.
Cancellations made within 72 hours or less before the scheduled activity are non-refundable.
This policy is based on the allocation of staff, equipment, and resources reserved specifically for the booking and applies to both partial and full cancellations.
Dives
Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled activity are eligible for a refund, with a 10% administration fee deducted.
Cancellations made within 48 hours or less before the scheduled activity are non-refundable.
This policy applies due to the allocation of staff, equipment, and resources reserved specifically for the booking and is valid for both partial and full cancellations.
Dive Packages
Cancellations of Dive Packages are only accepted if made more than 14 days prior to the scheduled start date. In such cases, a refund will be issued minus a 10% administration fee.
Cancellations made within 14 days or less before the start of the dive package are non-refundable.
This policy applies due to the advance reservation of staff, equipment, boats, and other operational resources. It applies to both partial and full cancellations of dive packages.
Generally
Cancellations due to medical reasons will only be accepted upon presentation of a valid medical certificate and apply solely to the affected participant. In such cases, a refund will be issued minus a 10% administration fee. Partners, family members, or accompanying persons are not entitled to a refund. E-learning materials already purchased are non-refundable.
If a cancellation occurs during an activity, whether for a single or double dive, due to reasons such as dizziness, discomfort, cold, or any other unforeseen circumstance beyond our control, no partial or full refund of the prepaid amount will be granted. This is due to the reserved spot, which prevented other bookings from being accepted.
Gran Canaria Divers reserves the right to cancel activities due to weather or safety-related conditions. In such cases, the client will be offered the possibility to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible or the diver is no longer able to participate, a refund will be issued. Clients will be informed in advance whenever adverse weather conditions are anticipated.
Inability to Complete Activities or Courses
If a student is unable to complete a course due to reasons such as equalization problems, medical conditions, panic, anxiety, or similar circumstances, no refund will be granted due to the reserved instructor and course slot. The student may complete the course within one year at no additional cost.
Guests who are unable to complete their booked scuba diving, snorkeling, or free diving activity, regardless of the reason, are not entitled to a refund or rescheduling.
