A road trip of approximately 50 minutes from Mogan brings us to the underwater nature reserve “Marina Reserva Arinaga” or more often called “El Cabron”. The last part of the trip is off-road, on a rough roads. Many dive centers don’t want to go there, since their equipment and cars get destroyed fast. But we feel it’s worth it and we do it daily for our clients. If you dive with us, you can be sure you will dive the best dive sites on Gran Canaria – El Cabron.
El Cabron is one of only three marine reserves in The Canary Islands. It was classed as a site of special scientific interest by the European Union on the 28th December. In this area you can make 8 totally different dives. There are 4 points of entry the water and exit, where you can always do 2 dives. Every dive will surprise you because of volcanic bottom composition. That means that it’s a lot of caverns, swim troughs, holes, caves, drop-offs, arches… Because of a Marine Reserve, boat traffic and commercial fishing not allowed in the area.
